Microbial Ecology

Microbial Ecology deals with the relationship of microorganisms with one another and with their environment. These microorganisms act as a backbone of the ecosystem and therefore plays a various role in the environment. These microbes play an important role biogeochemical process like phosphorus cycle, sulphur cycle and in the carbon cycle based on the microorganism that depend on one another. The microbes in the environment often engage in the process such as symbiosis which include mutualism, commensalism, parasitism as this process affects and forms major impacts in the ecosystem.
